Lincoln Park Zoo

In April, Mike and I went to Chicago for his birthday and a "babymoon". One of the things we always do when we travel is go to the zoo. We both love looking at all the animals and playing Where's Waldo in the multiple animal enclosures. Plus, I get to take lots of pictures - so here's some from this trip.

And finally, Mike's "spirit animal" - the giraffe with its tongue stuck out.

I ♥ Faces: Pet Faces

This was a really hard choice for me because we went to the Omaha Zoo just this last Saturday! Here is my favorite, but I had to debate a lot. Please check out THIS POST for my top 15 favorites of the day. I'd love to know your opinions on if I chose the right one! Omaha Zoo

Last weekend, Mike surprised me with a trip to Omaha for our anniversary. We went to the zoo and he put up with me as I took over 400 pictures. Such a good man :)

Reiman Gardens

Reiman Gardens is listed as the top thing to do in Ames, and until this past June, neither Mike or I had gone! Which is crazy because it's free for students! There is a huge garden as well as a butterfly enclosure. Here's the butterflies first and then the flowers.

Abby

This is one of about 3 pictures I have of Abby, our family sheltie. I got this one while she was keeping watch over my cousin out in the pool. Abby turns 10 tomorrow, so she's slowed down a little, but was next to impossible to capture when she was little she was so fast. She used to chase down tennis balls in the back yard and get going too fast to be able to stop, and roll head over... paws... when she got to her ball. :)
